Kellie Martin is she is an American actress and filmmaker most well-known for her role for her role as Christy Huddleston in the period drama 'Christy", Rebecca Thatcher on the drama about families Life Goes On> and Lucy Knight for the medical drama ER. Her other notable roles include the lead role in her role in the Hailey Dean Mystery series. Martin, born to a department store buyer and kindergarten teacher, began her professional career as an actress at age seven. Her aunt who served as the nanny of actor Michael Landon's children assisted Martin land a role in 1982 series "Father Murphy". Following her graduation of Yale University she began to become serious about acting with roles that she was able to land on the small screen and big. Martin, besides acting, she is also a talented photographer and ballet dancer. Her sister who passed away from Lupus at the age of 19, was the inspiration behind her becoming the Lupus the national spokesperson.
